Face Off by Olivias-Atelier Face Off by Olivias-Atelier
I had meant to upload more photos of this once I had gotten around to doing another shoot, but seeing as that hasn't happened yet, I figured...I should upload some more photos from the same shoot.

Good god I hate coming up with titles...

Copypasta time!

So once again Heroes in Tights contacted us about wearing some of their costumes, though this time for Wizard World Toronto 2011. I was happy to do it, especially since I'd wanted to do a Psylocke costume, but didn't care particularly if I made it or not.

So! Psylocke it was. I was also accompanied by the lovely *gillykins as Dark Phoenix and ~darkelf205 as Black Widow. You should check out their pages!

And before it comes up, yes, I know Psylocke does not wear heels. But a) the Kotobukiya statue has heels, and b) Psylocke also is a comic book character with perfect proportions. I am not.

Is this Black Widow inspired by the newest Avengers cartoon?

I actually have no idea. As it states in the description, Heroes in Tights approached us to wear their costumes, so those decisions were made by them.
Realistically, her outfit doesn't really change that much.

True that. I was rather led by the SHIELD patch on the shoulder and the fringe.
God I am such a nerd it's sad.

I had a hard time finding any refernce where she has the SHIELD patch. At the very least, it looks like cool?
Her look actually reminds me of a poster I have where Natalia's holding a snowglobe with Iron Man and Wolverine in it. I wish I could find a picture of it online...

As much as I've seen Black Widow in any media or any of her comic books versions, none of it had the patch, actually. In the Iron Man 2 she has a gray jumpsuit, in the cartoon she's with SHIELD for about an episode (well, telling the rest would be a spoiler and it is a damn good show), so I'm guessing this was quite a liberal interpretation...

I've seen...the first couple episodes of the show. My father was showing it to me since I don't have cable. XD
I assume, yeah, the patch was probably just something they added in. It kinda makes sense? She was in SHIELD for a bit. Though through much searching, I have found nothing where she actually has the patch.
I think it looks good, at least? And hey, we all got the costumes for free, so we can't complain. XD

Of course not. I was just a curious little nerd. And you know how nerds are...

Haha! I am most aware of how nerds are, being a curious little nerd myself.
